Helping Families Build Abundant Global Lives

INTERNATIONAL SPEAKER AUTHOR TCK & GLOBAL FAMILY SPECIALIST

Research-backed. Field-tested. Globally trusted.

THE CHALLENGE

Raising a family globally comes with extraordinary opportunity and a kind of depth most parenting books do not fully prepare you for. Between the moves, the goodbyes, and the constant new environments, children learn to adapt quickly. However, the gap between adapting and real inner health is where families feel unsure.

Most parents are driven by a deeply loving question: Will my kids be okay? In the middle of busy schedules and transitions, they pour enormous energy into parenting, but often without clarity on where that energy actually makes the biggest difference.

What is not processed and supported in childhood does not disappear. It gets carried forward.

It can show up later as difficulty forming deep friendships, disproportionate emotional responses, withdrawal, or a sense of not fully belonging anywhere.

The child who seems fine during every move may be carrying more than anyone realizes. Without the right kind of support, this can shape how they make decisions, form relationships, and understand their place in the world.

Helping Families Move Beyond Survival And Build Healthy Global Lives

A BETTER WAY FORWARD

Love and effort are present in most families, but clarity about where to focus that energy is often missing. Amid moves, schooling, logistics, and goodbyes, the focus naturally becomes getting through it.

Just getting through it can come at a cost. Years later, parents often look back wondering why something still feels unresolved, even in a family that did everything “right.”

This is where intentional, research-backed support makes a difference. Anna helps families and sending organizations see what is happening beneath the surface of global childhood, identify what actually builds long-term well-being, and raise children who can fully lean into the possibilities of global life.

Through speaking, debriefing, and training, Anna equips the global community with clarity on the pivots that strengthen connection, belonging, and long-term emotional well-being, giving families confidence in how they lead.

A supported global life creates secure family bonds and develops rare strengths that life across cultures uniquely develops.

Practical Debriefing Support for Raising Thriving Third Culture Kids

Whether you're a family, educator, or organization, Anna offers debriefing, and coaching designed to help Third Culture Kids process their experiences and grow with clarity, resilience, and connection.

Debriefing sessions

Unprocessed Experiences Do Not Disappear. They Shape How We Live, Relate, And Lead.

Hard experiences leave a lasting mark, and unprocessed, begin impacting our thoughts, habits, and relationships in ways we don’t intend. Debriefing helps individuals and families understand what those experiences mean, how they have shaped them, and what it takes to move forward with greater clarity and intention.

What is Debriefing?

Debriefing is a structured process that helps people get unstuck from the emotional weight, thought patterns, and coping strategies that were built to survive hard seasons, but now negatively impact life.

It helps individuals and families understand what they have been through, how those experiences impacted them, and what they want to carry forward into the next season of life with greater clarity and intention.

Why It Matters

Unprocessed hardship does not simply disappear. Over time, they impact mental and physical health, relationships, parenting, decision making, and a person’s sense of identity and belonging.

Debriefing creates space to intentionally work through what has been carried for years so those experiences become a source of growth rather than harmful accumulation.

What People Walk Away With

People often leave debriefing with a clearer understanding of their story, their relationships, and the hidden patterns shaping their present life.

Debriefing helps people move from reacting out of survival to living with greater clarity, stability, connection, and emotional awareness.

Crisis Response Debrief

Immediate structured support for families navigating crisis, trauma, or destabilizing transition.

Designed for families experiencing recent crisis or overwhelming change, this debrief focuses on stabilization, emotional regulation, and helping individuals move from survival mode toward a renewed sense of safety and clarity.

"Nourished is a modern, holistic, and research-backed masterpiece on how to raise your children in a culture that is not your own. The science, tips, and heartfelt stories all hold space for the duality of this life—both the adventure and the grief. It is both a warm hug and a safety net to assist everyone who has chosen this unique life. What I really love: Anna Danforth unpacks how to show the youth that they are safe, loved, and belong and provides ample space to encourage the adults to discover their safety, love, and belonging as well. That’s important, as it all stems from that. Bravo, Anna!"

Anna tackles the real challenges of TCK life head-on—the hard stuff most books shy away from—and pairs them with clear, actionable steps any parent can use, making it as practical as it is insightful. I only wish this book had existed 35 years ago when my wife and I were in the thick of raising our own TCKs, but even now it's given us a fresh perspective on how we engage with our adult children."
